Students are welcome!

An estimated 30,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students enjoy Southampton’s two universities and it is important that the church community looks after your mental, spiritual, and physical health, to allow you all to live well.

We appreciate that many students have also been challenged during the pandemic as the stresses of completing degrees online, being cut off from family during lockdowns, and missing out on that sense of community all took their toll.

University life is meant to be an amazing time where you can develop your confidence, refine your values, and learn to be future leaders within your fields of interest.  We want to enhance your experience in Southampton by supporting your passion and helping you reach your full potential.

We want to be a conduit for any student wishing to reach out to ask for help, whether this is to build you spiritually, to develop your community if you are feeling lonely, or to help you more specifically if you have fallen on hard times.  We can signpost to both wider communities and support services which can include:

  • Signposting you to a church that caters for your interests and denominations

  • Introducing you to international communities helping you to feel more at home

  • Providing access to core services if you have fallen on hard times, such as debt advice or access to food referral programmes.

Whether you are a thriving student in Southampton that wants to find the right church for you, or whether you are struggling and just need a little bit more help, don’t be afraid to reach out and we will do everything we can to point you in the right direction.

Please email info@lovesouthampton.org.uk if we can help at all.
