Good Friday 2024 ‘Christmas is important but Easter is decisive’ Arsene Wenger

The Southampton churches are hosting an Easter Service in the city on Friday 29th March 2024, to remember why it is called Good Friday. We pray that many will hear the Good News of the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ on that first Good Friday and two days later on Easter Sunday. Many churches from various denominations will come together with a shared vision of the wider church as one.

The service will be at 11am with the Miracle Street Stage Trailer on Guildhall Square for a joint service at 12noon. This will be a time of worship, collective prayer and a chance for the message of the cross to be explained. Our hope is that everyone will hear this life-transforming Easter message of hope, love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Immediately after the church service, an Easter Festival will take place on Guildhall Square. This will be a time for the whole family to gather for some fun and seasonal activities.

A broad team have been part of planning this including Steve Lee, Neil Maddock, Paul Woodman and Ed Clark. It is going to be an incredible time and we are so grateful to these leaders for bringing churches together this coming Easter.
